The Danish Endurance Championship known as DEC is the brainchild within Danish Motorsports. The entire event is organized by Padborg Park and S Jens Enemark is the promoter. This race is divided into four sub races that take place at Ring Djursland and Padborg Park. These races are held once every month from the month of May to September. The schedule is mentioned below -
The race is an international event for teams to participate from all over the world. Every participating team should have at least two drivers. The race training with timing and the competition all happen on the same day. The race is grueling and can last up to three to four hours. There is not limit or penalty on the number of pit stops but the tank stops need to last only up to 240 seconds. The fuel tank of the car must be a maximum 40 liter capacity and the fuel tank must be the original as that which came with the car. The cars used in the race are usually small cars which are easy to control around the bends and make it easier to drive for a longer time. Sports cars are seen in a handful in these races. Simple modification for racing like making the car lighter by taking out the headlights and passenger seats are allowed. Race participants are to submit their entries directly to the race organizer, there are no agents involved in the registration of entries. Riders and teams need to register themselves, before 1st April. Spectator tickets are available for order and purchase at Padborg Park venue itself. |
