Ferrari Scandinavia Challenge

Ferrari Scandinavia ChallengeThe Ferrari Scandinavia Challenge (FSC) is an event that takes place across Sweden, Denmark and Finland, which is an unofficial Ferrari Championship. It was started in 2001 and is not only made up of the latest Ferrari Challenge cars. The Ferrari Scandinavian Challenge is solely a Ferrari motorsport event.

This was an offshoot of the Ferrari Challenge that started in 1993 for 348 Berlinetta Ferrari owners, who also wanted involvement in racing and so even the FSC takes on to provide a race environment for Scandinavian Ferrari Owners.

The FSC Championship consists of five weekends, with each weekend having two heats. Every year a race outside Scandinavia is held and added to the FSC program.

All the cars produced by Ferrari can participate, even the GT cars made by Ferrari Spa. However, all these cars must be well equipped with the security fittings as approved by DASU. The equipment is as follows -

  • Drivers cabin with full roll cage or roll bar.
  • Front and rear hooks for towing.
  • An electronic kill switch.
  • Safety belts of 4 or 6 point variety.
  • A fire extinguisher.
  • All run on Pirelli approved slicks.

For race eligibility, a driver must have a valid B-EU grade license. The gear required for the race consist of FIA approved clothing that is fire resistant, a helmet and a pair racing kit shoes. There is no requirement for the drivers to have previous race experience, as practice sessions for the drivers are arranged before the start of the session.
